Turn off Low Power Mode or Battery Saver

iOS's Low Power Mode and Android's Battery Saver both deliberately reduce CPU and GPU clock speed to extend battery life. That directly caps how fast Roblox can render. This is the one place mobile advice is the opposite of the Windows advice on this site — instead of turning ON a performance mode, you turn the power-saving mode OFF before you play.

Keep storage free

Roblox streams texture and map data while you play instead of loading a game fully up front. When a phone is nearly out of storage, that streaming slows down — it shows up as stutter, pop-in, or textures that take a moment to load in. Keeping a few GB of free space gives the game room to work.

Close background apps

Close other apps before playing, especially anything streaming video or music in the background. On Android, use the recent-apps button and swipe unwanted apps away. On iOS, swipe up and hold from the bottom of the screen, then swipe apps away individually.

Lower Graphics Quality in Roblox

Open Roblox's in-game settings, turn off Graphics Quality Auto, and lower Quality manually. Turn off Shadows if the option is available on your device. Phone and tablet GPUs are far more power-constrained than even a budget laptop GPU, so lower settings make a proportionally bigger difference.

Clear the app cache

On Android: Settings > Apps > Roblox > Storage > Clear Cache. iOS does not expose a direct cache-clear option — uninstalling and reinstalling Roblox achieves the same result.

Keep your OS updated

Outdated Android or iOS versions occasionally have compatibility issues with newer Roblox updates. Checking for a system update before assuming your hardware is the problem is worth the two minutes it takes.
